Praying the will of our father.01
Praying the will of our father.
“With all prayer and supplication, praying all the time in spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” Ephesians 6:18
Prayer is something serious, specific, objective, and following rules and principles of the Word of God. It is the attempt to pray in harmony with them, resulting in a frustrating experience of not seeing the prayers and supplications answered. Could classify the sentences in three different levels: God, ourselves and others. Let’s understand each other.
1 - God as the center of our prayers - There are prayers that are addressed to God, seeking God Himself, that He is what he does and what he has done to us.
- Shares of Grace - The expression of our recognition and gratitude to God for what He has done to us.
- Praise - Prayer of praise is a step beyond the actions of grace. They are expressions of praise to God for what He does. Praise is to gather all the deeds of God and express them in words, in an attitude of praise and glorification of His Name.
- Worship - The type of prayer that praises God for who He is.There is nothing about the man, but Him. It is the recognition of what He is.
2 - We ourselves as the center of prayers- Here we go to God to present personal needs. We go to God for an answer to the amendment of any circumstance in our life.
- Application - is to present God in a request, in order to satisfy a personal need, based on a promise to God.
-Consecration - is an attitude of submission to the will of God. It requires full dedication and willingness to know and follow the will of the Father
- Delivery - is the transfer of care to the Lord, this prayer is done when a problem knocks on your door.
3 - The other as the center of our prayers - here we go to God as priests, as intercessors, bringing the need for another person. Our first reason is to see the changed circumstances in the lives of others. This is the prayer of intercession. Intercede is to put yourself in the other and plead their cause.
It is time for us to rise as a generation that now at all times, with thanksgiving prayers for one another, in making available the Lord to fulfill His will on earth.
Meditation: How long I’ve spent in prayer to see God’s promises be fulfilled in my life…………..
